The Festival is happening in Auckland CBD at the Aotea Centre. You can get to the Aotea Centre either from Aotea Square on Queen Street (main street of Auckland), or via the vehicle entrance at 50 Mayoral Drive.
Getting to the Aotea Centre from the Airport?
If you’re heading to the Aotea Centre (or the CBD) from Auckland Airport, the best and cheapest way to get there is to catch the Sky Bus from the Airport. You can either book online, or when you arrive. The buses depart every 10–15 minutes. It costs $16–18 each way, or you can get a return pass. If you’re heading into the city, the last stop on the Sky Bus is right outside the Aotea Centre. Too easy!
If you’re looking to stay somewhere comfortable and affordable, the YHA International at 5 Turner Street in Auckland’s CBD, is a five minute walk away from the Festival venue.
YHA New Zealand are the first accommodation network worldwide to become carboNZeroCertTM certified. This means they’ve committed to measuring, reducing, and offsetting our greenhouse gas emissions to ensure that our national office and managed hostels are carbon neutral. Exciting stuff!
