Over the last two decades, Anya has held numerous leadership roles in the education and community sectors. She has been a teacher, a film-maker, and champion for youth. She strives for rights-based, innovative, restorative and ethical approaches that amplify young people's agency, voice, and strengths
She wants a nation that works together to create conditions where all young people can thrive. Though Ara Taiohi, she is working to connect the sector to raise the standard, champion youth development and promote sustainability. She loves being a part of an organisation that is connected, focused on the big picture, and consistently supports the sector with good information.
Anya sees Ara Taiohi as the national kaitiaki (guardian) of positive youth development and is proud to work for a sector that is diverse, committed, inspiring and connected.
