ASHLEY WINIATA

Born and bred in Eastern Bay of Plenty, one of Whakatane’s Future Leaders

Ashley is a 24 year old in her third year of her Bachelors degree at Te Wananga o Aotearoa. Her field is social work, focusing on bi-culturalism in practice.

Ashley is of Ngai Tuhoe and Ngati Awa descent, and was born and bred in a small town east side of the Bay of Plenty known as Whakatane “WHK”.

Ashley is one of Whakatane’s Two Future Leaders in the Inspiring Stories Future Leader programme for 2017.
