Chief Economist at The New Zealand Initiative - economics, incentives and democracy
Dr Eric Crampton is the Chief Economist at The New Zealand Initiative. He is co-author of several of the Initiative’s reports, including The Case for Economic Growth, In the Zone, and Decade of Debt. Dr Crampton served as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics & Finance at the University of Canterbury from 2003 until 2014. His academic work there focused on voter preferences and economic policy outcomes. He is also the creator and author of the well-known blog “Offsetting Behaviour”.
