Kassie was raised in Whanganui and currently lives in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington). She is a political activist who is led by community. Her heart is in LGBTIQ / takatāpui communities and her path has taken her to youth work, peer support, anti-racist activism and the union movement. She is currently a Community Organiser for the campaigning organisation, ActionStation and studies Ahunga Tikanga - Māori Laws and Philosophy at Te Wānanga o Raukawa. She is passionate about nurturing intergenerational movements that imagine a just world, free of colonial and capitalist violence.
