Malcolm is a family man, an Arsenal supporter, and leads Local Government New Zealand’s (LGNZ) management, relationships with its members and external stakeholders, and strategy and policy development. He practiced as a Lawyer in London and New Zealand and has held a number of executive positions across the private sector. His impressive CV includes: General Manager, Corporate Affairs at Genesis Energy; General Manager Market Services at M-co Limited; Board Member, NZ Council for Infrastructure Development (2008-2012); Independent Chair of the Telecommunications Carriers' Forum (2002-2008); Vice-President of the Harvard Business School Association of New Zealand (2012-2015);  and Member of the Victoria University School of Government Advisory Group (2016-current).

At Festival for the Future 2018, Malcolm will show attendees how they can actively engage in the democratic process to deliver real change.
