Hon Phil Twyford wants to see New Zealand deliver hope and opportunity to all people, having previously worked to end international poverty and injustice with Oxfam. Now as NZ’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, he is committed to fixing Auckland’s housing and transport issues.
New Zealand’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Hon Phil Twyford’s vision for New Zealand is for the country to deliver hope and opportunity to all people. He is committed to fixing the housing and transport issues affecting Auckland. He is also Te Atatu’s member of parliament for Labour. He has a passion for justice, which lead him to become the founding executive of Oxfam NZ. Following this, he took up a role as Oxfam’s Global Advocacy Director in Washington DC, working to end international poverty and injustice. Upon returning to New Zealand he entered Parliament, being elected into the Labour Party in 2008.
