Chief Executive of Leadership New Zealand, diversity and inclusion
Sina is a Pacific woman of Samoan, German and English descent. Married with two adult children, she lives in Auckland. Her leadership and governance experience spans 20+ years across the commercial, public and social-profit sectors, and a range of fields (including education, broadcasting/media, leadership and management, mentoring, youth and women’s development).
Sina is committed to helping develop a generation of authentic and ethical leaders for 21st century leadership, and she focusses on building leadership, governance and the strategic capability of individuals, organisations and communities.
She previously held executive roles in sales management, learning and organisational development with Telecom Directories, and the NZ Institute of Management. In 2003 Sina was appointed Chief Executive of the first national Pan-Pacific radio broadcasting network – Niu FM. She was CEO of Niu FM and the Pacific Media Network for 6 years – a period of dynamic growth that enabled her to connect and positively impact Pacific communities across New Zealand.
Sina is currently the Chief Executive of Leadership New Zealand, an organisation with a vision to grow, celebrate and weave together Aotearoa New Zealand’s diversity of leaders. Through Leadership New Zealand and her numerous board roles (including YWCA Aotearoa NZ, Pacific Music Awards, AUT Business Industry Advisory Committee, Learning Auckland Leadership Table, PACIFICA Auckland, and Appoint Better Boards) Sina is directly able to fulfil her purpose to influence and empower a diversity of leaders across society.
